The program is targeting people that are 60 years and above.

OUR MOTTO:

their nutritional values and quench hunger in line with MDGs, and we are still involved in the feeding program. The program is targeting people that are 60 years and above.

EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT PROGRAMME: : EAF carries out educational advancement programme targeted at the youths. The youths are educated on the need to further their education and on the importance of education to them and the society at large. The Chief Executive Officer and volunteers collaborated with the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa, to seek admission for two out-of- school youths. These two successfully gained admission to the College and have finally resumed studies. We are working hard to create partnership with tertiary institutions, so that these programmes can continue to run smoothly
EDUCATIONAL SUPPLIES: In some localities in Nassarawa ,Cross River and Ebonyi State, children go to school without writing materials. During my assessment, most children who own a book or 2 either have them in bad shape or the books are in shreds. The reason being that pupils carry their books with their bare hands on their way to and from school every day and as they sweat on the cover pages over time they tear off and often times poor and illiterate parents can’t find the resources or see the need to replace them. With support from Nasarawa stakeholders, Universal Basic Education Office Lafia, Longman plc Nigeria, now known as Learn Africa and MAAKOIL LTD, we were able to provide writing/learning materials for 300 pupils, 25 dozen of pen, pencils, erasers, rulers, sharpeners and 100 school bags. This program is still ongoing.
During EAF assessment it was discovered that G.S.S Marmara had less than 10 text books for a school of about 450 students. Learning was difficult especially for the core subjects like English and Mathematics. EAF donated 267 text books including the Holy Bible and the Holy Quran to start a library at Government Secondary School Marmara and LGEA primary school for over 450 students.
In some localities in Nasarawa, Cross River and Ebonyi State, children sit on bare floor to read and write in class. To solve these EAF partnered with well meaning citizens and stakeholders in Nassarawa and were able to donate 60 three-seater desks for pupils in Marmara ,Shamage and Gunki Local Government Education Authority Primary school.180 pupils benefited from this project. We have a target of providing more than 5000 three-seater desks for these children to enable them have conducive learning environment.
--We have also donated cartoons of chalk and reading aids, like the Map of Nigeria, Map of Africa and Map of the World to GSS Marmara Geography laboratory. We intend to spread this gesture to all the school in the area.

Looking ahead:  The focus of the organization now is on Education for children, Skills Acquisition and Economic Empowerment for Women and youths and Mentorship/Leadership training for youths.

We are currently seeking for support from Local and International Partners in kind and in financial resources. We have so far embarked on a good number of programs and projects in line with MDGs, SFH, UNICEF AND UNDP strategic plan etc.

BECOME OUR PARTNER:  HELP ONE LIFE AT ATIME
Our foundation agrees with MOTHER THERESA OF CALCUTA INDIA, who observed that poverty isn’t only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We cannot ignore the undue burden placed on our children in our society. We need not go far to see children of school age hawking multiple goods and services, where able-bodied youths masking as touts, unskilled women, increased state of unrest, child abuse, high maternal and mortality rates, human trafficking, prostitution and other social vices. The kind of future our children will be exposed to, if we don’t arise, is quite obvious. This is the drive behind ENENE AKONJOM FOUNDATION (EAF). Therefore, this is the time to Act and Give. Since our birth, we have grown and provided services in four states; Cross River, Nasarawa , Benue,Ebonyi and the Federal Capital Territory.
